A New Era of Excellence Rooted in Tradition

Dolphinim Newsletter

January 12, 2015

Dear Parent(s),

Your child is hard at work on his/her exploration unit project.  Between now and January 20, students will read, research, and make note cards.  Students are using multiple sources and creating bibliographical entries.  Students may work ahead of schedule if they wish, and may work at home as well as in the classroom.

In preparation for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the class read an excellent book together, and then  wrote about their own dreams for the future of the world.  Two students will read sentences describing their dreams at Oneg this Friday.

Mazal tov to our four school wide spelling bee participants!  They represented the Dolphinim well, and we are all very proud of them.

Our English Language Arts program, in addition to being integrated with our Social Studies work, continues with our Daily Language exercises.  This program, over the two year cycle, will have covered all the standards for both 4th and 5th grades.

I hope you are enjoying our winter wonderland!
