A New Era of Excellence Rooted in Tradition

Dolphinim News

Dear Dolphinim Parents,

In Chumash, we learned about Yosef and his jailmates, the butler and the baker. We discussed each of their roles in Mitzrayim and why they ended up in jail. The butler and the baker both had dreams that we touched upon and will learn in greater detail next week.

One of the main topics that we discussed was Yosef’s character and the kind of person he was. He was modest and never took credit for anything, always following in G-d’s path.

In this week’s parasha, Parashat Beshalach, we learned about Yitziat Mitzrayim, the exodus from Egypt.

Our weekly question was: Why did Bnei Yisrael win wars against enemies each time Moshe raised his arms in the air?

The Dolphinim had wonderful responses to this question and looked to Chizkoni, one of our sages, and the Mishnah for answers to the weekly question.

With Tu B’shvat almost here, this week we focused on how to take care of our environment today, and how our environment was taken care of a long time ago. We read stories about the environment and this helped us develop a deeper sense of understanding of how important it is to be good to our world.

Shabbat Shalom,

Morah Keren
