Discussion: Carolyn Levine will follow-up with Rhonda Rosenheck regarding the progress on the special technology grants.
Concern was raised about the current facility and costs. A motion was proposed as follows:
Motion out of the Finance Committee
The Board authorizes a committee to explore renting space for the school in the near term and the practical, programmatic, and financial feasibility of doing so, and to report on this by its May 2015 HACD Board meeting.
The key issues were cost of the facility, size needed for the school. The question was raised as to timeline and what is the Board’s sense of urgency for this action, what is the timeline what is the deliverable and by when.
- Jewish Life Committee Motion
An update from the Jewish Life Committee was sent out a few weeks ago. The committee was charged with describing how HACD is an inclusive school. An update was sent out in the Wednesday updates.
Motion from the Jewish Life Committee with a revised title: “An Inclusive School Community Statement” was adopted by the Board with one abstention
