3. Finance Report – Seth Rosenblum
Discussion: anticipate completing audit soon. Need to reflect specific gifts in the budget details – for example targeted gifts.
Ongoing expenses that are new will be fiber optic costs. Costs and available services were evaluated and the HOS made the decision based on contract time, capital cost, and ongoing maintenance costs to go with First Light.

4. Parent Survey Preview- Sandy Schuman
Board did a practice test of the survey to help pretest the questionnaire to finalize the instrument for distribution to current parents. Special thanks to Sandor Schuman and George Bizer for their work on this. The HSEC committee targets getting this to faculty for review this week and then to parents in the next two months.

5. Strategic Planning- Anna and Rhonda
a. Revisiting our major initiatives and creating benchmarks/goals

The Board will continue with the strategic planning process begun with Dan Levine’s work and refine benchmarks for these four guiding principles.

6. Marketing- Anna Rosen and Rhonda Rosenheck a. new marketing materials

b. Israeli Outreach Initiative
HACD has the ability to use the Schechter “Engage the World” brochures to send to the Nano Technology target group. These will be reflected on the website also in English and Hebrew. Board recommends using a 8X11 format to be able to include a sell sheet. PROM Committee

7. RAVSAK affiliation - Rhonda
Community Day School vs. Schechter. It is possible to be a member of both and co-affiliate.

Motion to refer this to the Jewish Life Committee for additional study and a recommendation to the Board.

100% Board participation on Shomray Torah Campaign Barnum opens at the Cue Theatre Jan 31 and runs a few weeks.
